Chandrakot, Pokhara

Chandrakot is a small village. This village is situated in the altitude of 1565 meters above form the sea level. This village is one of the entrance of Annapurna trekking. Can enjoy here as a nice hiking and over night stay like camping or lodge stay.

Khokana


Khokana is an ancient Newari village of Patan, located in the south of Kathmandu on 10 Km. Once this village was very popular for its large production of mustard oil. There could be no better place than Khokana to enjoy Himalayan range from Kathmandu and observe the Newari lifestyle. Local culture, traditional house and lovely people with their traditional attire are another attraction.

Bungamati


Bungamati village is 10 KM south from the Kathmandu. once the village was an autonomous province of Kathmandu and came into existence early in the 17th century A.D
The village is well known for typical Newari community, rich, hard working and cheerful in inhabitants. They live on farming and utilized their spared time on masonry, carpentry and other manual works. The women enjoys weaving, knitting, tailoring apart from spinning wool.Today, the whole village is like a workshop of wood carving and most of these are already ordered for the Kathmandu shop keepers, hotel and abroad merchants.

Namo Buddha

This Namo Buddha is situated on a hill above Panauti and  requires either drive or good hike, walk is recommended to visit this place. There is an amazing story concerning Buddha being commemorated by an ancient stone slab and a stupa with the all seeing eyes of Lord Buddha. It is an ideal place for in meditation. Tibetans and Bhotias arrive by the van-load to circumulate it. Among the houses surrounding the stupa is a dinky Tamang 'Gompa' when you can enter. According to the fable Buddha, in on of his previous lives as a hunter, encountered a starving tigress and her cubs here, and moved by compassion, offered his own flesh to her, a sacrifice that helped pave the way for his eventual rebirth as the historical Buddha. The stupa is supposed to contain the hunter's bones and hair.

Panauti,

Panauti is beautiful village 31 k.m from east from Kathmandu & situated at the confluence of Roshamati, Punyamati and Lilavati rivers. This is a city of a thousand gods and goddesses. Dhulikhel


Dhulikhel is an ancient town located 30 K.m. east of Kathmandu on the side of the Arniko highway. The town is the settlement of Newars and offers a traditional atmosphere along with spectacular views. Yet, today it is important main trade route to Tibet via high passes of Himalayas for Kathmandu. Dhullikhel has a glorious past which can be seen in the lovely buildings and intricate wood carvings in the shop-lined streets and temples. Gorkha

Gorkha is historically very famous village. This village is the birthplace of King Prithvi Narayan Shaha the founder of modern Nepal. Situated on a hill overlooking the snowy peaks of the Himalaya is a beautiful old place known as Gorkha Durbar. There are two attractive temples of Gorakhanath and Kali inside of the palace precinct.
